This is the girls and I on Christmas Day :) Don't mind my gross shiny face...eww The outfits are compliments of my friend Tina! Thanks Tina!I love this picture, I am talking to the girls and they were just smiling and laughing at me :)

Well for the first Christmas for as long as I can remember.. we had a nice white Christmas. Our original plans were to spend Christmas Eve in Iowa with my family, however, due to a batch of flu and Old man winter... we had to change our plans. So Brian and I bought some groceries and stayed home. We watched Polar Express and the snow fall... a nice relaxing evening. Christmas day we slept in , I made muffins and then we opened presents and again...watched the snow fall. It was my wish to have our family Christmas on Christmas day and just stay home and be together... so secretly I was more than happy to stay home...our original plans for Christmas day were to go to Brian's parents,but we didn't go anywhere.We saw several vehicles get stuck...even 4 wheel drive!

As far as gifts we went simple this year. The girls got two outfits, hairbows, and eventually highchairs...when I get them ordered. I got Brian clothes and Mizzou Basket ball

tickets..but the surprise was ruined when they came in the mail...early...when I didn't expect them to. I tried to lie and say my friend had them sent here for her husband but... he knew...oh well. Brian bought me the Ugg boots I was desperately wanting...I go into homes for a living so I am always out in the snow so I thought I needed something to keep my feet warm. Overall a very nice Christmas...though I do miss my family. I worry about my Dad being alone on the holidays,but I call him frequently. Someday I hope to be able to have him live closer to us. Thats all for now. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas...if anyone even looks at this blog other than myself! Ha!

Christmas with the Salsberry's

Well it is coming to the end of 2009. I have mixed feelings about this year....and what a year it has been!!! With Brian's heart trouble and other health issues. My job loss..and filing for unemployment, being very very sick pregnant, getting preeclampsia, the girls coming too early and spending time in the NICU.. and all of the other things we have gone through. But it has also been full of BLESSINGS!!! Our Twin girls Lillian and Joelle. My new job...for the same company but with a better job that I feel so blessed and thankful to have. Brian seems to be on the mend and I am just enjoying being a mother. But I am happy to say "goodbye to 2009." I am so anxious to see what God has for us in 2010! Can you believe it is going to be 2010?!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I love to decorate. I love the message behind Christmas...the real one. I love the sights, sounds and smells. I love that Brian and I have our own family this year and we get to come up with our own family traditions! I have thought of a few that I would like to do with our girls... I am so excited. I also think of my mother and the things I know she would have done with my sisters and I if she wasn't so sick...and it makes me sad but at the same time I know that is why I was double blessed because she knew I wanted to be able to get to do the things I didn't get to do with my mom. I am soo thankful to have a loving father that did the best he could. Now that I am rambling I will end this with a few photos...if I can load them correctly.
